New for 2015

Paisley Physiotherapy are excited to introduce a new treatment modality in the form of Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT).

ESWT is a non-invasive procedure used in order to treat chronic musculoskeletal injuries.

ESWT uses high energy acoustic waves to help initiate the repair of chronically inflamed tissues, by means of tissue regeneration. Although the exact mechanism is unexplained, it is thought that the shockwaves induce a formation of networks and growth factors within the tissues which are rich in blood supply, therefore promoting healing.
